Dr Steven Metcalfe BSc BVMS (Hons) MSc MANZCVS(Small Animal Medicine)
Dr Metcalfe graduated from Murdoch University in 1990 with first class Honours. He gained membership to theAustralian College of Veterinary Scientists in 1995 in small animal medicine. In 2000 he was awarded an MSc from Monash University for his thesis titled 'Assisted Reproduction in the Bitch". The research focused on canine embryology and ovarian development in the bitch. He has published and presented papers internationally. Dr Metcalfe started work at Applecross Veterinary Hospital as a student in 1986 and has owned the practice since 2001. He currently lives with his family, four toy poodles and a Russian blue cat. Publications and presentations.
Dr Caitlin Hargan BSc BVMS
Dr Hargan is a Murdoch University graduate from 2016 with a keen interest in medicine, surgery and ultrasonography. She has completed a research externship at Applecross Veterinary Hospital investigating the link between desexing dogs and rupture of the cranial cruciate ligament. When Caitlin is not helping her patients she enjoys giving her own furry companion Harley plenty of attention.
